Rewind

Our community-based research is difficult to finish because we have a lot of schoolwork to do at the same time.  We conducted research about the disaster preparedness of Bantay. We only have a limited amount of time to finish it. But I'm thankful for the help we provide for one another. There's also a time when we almost fought because we didn't know what to do.  The interview step was quite stressful. The person we needed to speak with wasn't there every time we went to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for interviews. But we were able to conduct the interviews in the end, despite the frustrating experience. Every night we work on our parts, and we also try to communicate while doing our parts via Messenger. We made sure to keep each other updated on our progress and ask for help when needed. Despite the challenges, we were able to work together as a team and complete the project on time. In the end, we have had an incredible experience working on this community base...

Almost There

The third quarter is almost over, and although it has been quite difficult, I have learnt a lot. We studied tables, frames, and lists in our ICT lesson.Mrs. Evelyn taught us at the beginning of the quarter, and Sir Angelo took over later and taught us about lists. Sir Angelo also starts his class with a prayer.      I now understand how to use HTML lists to arrange my notes. Also, Mrs. Evelyn gave us the opportunity to conduct community-based research (CBR). Although it was difficult because I had a lot of other schoolwork to complete at the same time, I managed to complete everything.      Moving on, this quarter has been enjoyable, and I've learned a lot. I hope to continue learning in the next quarter. I'm grateful to our teachers for their guidance. D-Day

Ilocos Sur National Highschool just recently celebrated its foundation day on March 09. All students  and teachers are really excited to celebrate this. Due to COVID-19, we weren't able to fully celebrate it during the previous school year, but now we are able to celebrate it freely without hassle. The school prepares parades, dance competitions, and concerts for a cause.   All students, teachers, and non-teaching staff did a parade in Vigan. Smiling faces are all you can see at the parade. And I just want to share that our section got the most disciplined title.      After the parade, every junior grade level participates in a dance competition. Grade 10 is the winner for boys, and Grade 9 is the winner for girls. Everyone gave it their all, and they didn't let anyone down.   Then, after our lunch break, we attended a concert for a cause inside the gymnasium. I was shocked because I thought only our cla...

Our Lowkey Superheroes

Women's Month happens on March each year, and people from all around the world come together to celebrate. We acknowledge and share our love for women globally on this special month. We appreciate what they do for us and how important they are.         Women are really a lowkey superheroes. They love their family so much and they gave birth to us. They carry us in their womb for NINE months. So, women deserve RESPECT. Being a mom is one of the toughest jobs in the world. They go through a lot of  challenges, but she faces them with strength and love. Giving birth isn't easy, but moms do it to bring new life into the world.           On  Women's Month, we are reminded of the importance of every woman. It's a chance to pay respect to their hard work and celebrate their accomplishments. All of the women in our lives our mothers, sisters, friends, and instructors should be respected. Let's give t...
