Fourth quarter really hit different, and I feel like I really improved. I can't believe it's already ending; it feels like it's the first day of school yesterday. I learned a lot during this quarter. We tackled networks, types of cables, and even the tools used in cables. I really like our lesson about the types of cables. This lesson helped me identify the different uses of cables and their functions. During this quarter, there are only two things that I don't really like. First, our schedule. There's a time when we change our schedule due to the heat index. Second, the weather—it's so hot in the Philippines. But I'm thankful because we have air conditioning in our ICT room. Also, keeping my time manageable is not really my forte because when we have a lot of homework or activities, I always cram it. Moving on, I'm really glad that I improved throughout the school quarters. I will apply my learning in order to continue improving. I'm also happy bec...

Future

Image
Every kid has a dream. Dreams that they wish to be true. They say dream big, believe big, and the result will be big. It's important to know what you really want to be in the future. Our future depends on us. Sometimes I wonder what my future job will be. I am an indecisive person, so it is hard for me to choose between things. I consider a lot of factors that can affect my decisions. But with the help of career guidance, I decided to consider engineering as one of my goals. Don't give up easily, because you're just starting. Ten years from now, I can see myself growing and continuously learning in life. I can imagine myself being stable with my job for ten years from now on. Being happy with my work and having a high salary (hehe). I hope God will favor all of my dreams and goals.  References: https://www.quora.com/How-can-one-answer-the-question-what-are-your-goals-or-dreams-in-your-life https://theknowledgereview.com/top-10-most-valuable-skills-engineers-need-in-2023/ ...

Mother's Day

Image
Mother's Day is a simple celebration to express our gratitude and appreciation for our mothers. Words cannot tell how much I love my mom and how thankful I am that I have such a wonderful mom. Every mother will do everything to make                                                      their child happy and safe. As part of our tradition, every Mother's Day we would go out to eat or give gifts to make our mom happy. I remember when I was in elementary school, I would always write a letter of appreciation for my mother. Simple things can be special if they're from your heart. Seeing my mom smile makes my heart happy.  My mother is my BEST FRIEND. I can tell everything to my mom. If I need help or guidance, she will always be there. Our mother's; it's their first time living too, so be kind to them. (Love them, not stress them.) References: http...

Change for the Better

Image
Change is a simple word, but hard to do. If you want something to change, you really need to put in the effort. Changing the world is hard; we need to consider a lot of things, but we can do it if we change ourselves first. We can start by helping our neighbors. Being kind to animals because they have feelings too. We can also participate in organizations that can help our environment and people. In our community, we can volunteer if they help. Use your knowledge and voice in the right way. Live with a helpful midset. If we really want to change our world, we can start with ourselves. Change our bad habits into good ones. We can also spread information or advocacy about our world. We can do it if we really want to.   References: https://twcmvla.com/build-a-better-world-campaign-together-we-can/ https://www.dailysabah.com/opinion/op-ed/do-we-need-to-help-one-another https://hellogoodworld.com/

History

Image
We Filipinos celebrate Araw ng Kagitingan every April 9, every year. Araw ng Kagitingan is also known as 'Bataan Day' and 'Bataan and Correigidor Day". We celebrate this to pay tribute to the Filipino and American soldiers who died during World War II. It shows respect to the fall of the Bataan peninsula during World War II. In celebrating this, alive veterans from World War II will parade in some cities in our country, the Philippines. All Filipinos gather together to celebrate this; even our president will give a speech on this holiday. It is a day to pay tribute to our history. It's a way to thank the people who sacrifice their lives just to ensure that we achieve our freedom. Lastly, it is important to recall this day because it reaffirms our unity as Filipinos in our country. Knowing our history proves that we really deserved the freedom given to us by our brave fellow Filipinos. Big respect to the soldiers who fight for us. References: https://www.behan...

Rewind

Image
Our community-based research is difficult to finish because we have a lot of schoolwork to do at the same time.  We conducted research about the disaster preparedness of Bantay. We only have a limited amount of time to finish it. But I'm thankful for the help we provide for one another. There's also a time when we almost fought because we didn't know what to do.  The interview step was quite stressful. The person we needed to speak with wasn't there every time we went to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for interviews. But we were able to conduct the interviews in the end, despite the frustrating experience. Every night we work on our parts, and we also try to communicate while doing our parts via Messenger. We made sure to keep each other updated on our progress and ask for help when needed. Despite the challenges, we were able to work together as a team and complete the project on time. In the end, we have had an incredible experience working on this community base...

Almost There

Image
The third quarter is almost over, and although it has been quite difficult, I have learnt a lot. We studied tables, frames, and lists in our ICT lesson.Mrs. Evelyn taught us at the beginning of the quarter, and Sir Angelo took over later and taught us about lists. Sir Angelo also starts his class with a prayer.      I now understand how to use HTML lists to arrange my notes. Also, Mrs. Evelyn gave us the opportunity to conduct community-based research (CBR). Although it was difficult because I had a lot of other schoolwork to complete at the same time, I managed to complete everything.      Moving on, this quarter has been enjoyable, and I've learned a lot. I hope to continue learning in the next quarter. I'm grateful to our teachers for their guidance.
